Check Out Our Top 5 Exterior Detailing FAQs

  • 1. What’s included in an exterior detail?

An exterior detail is way more than a quick wash and rinse. We hand wash the paint, clean the wheels and tires, knock off bugs and road film, and decontaminate the surface, so it feels smooth instead of gritty. Then we dry everything properly, dress the tires, and add a gloss-boosting finish, so your car actually looks detailed, not just sprayed off.

  • 2. How long does an exterior detail usually take?

It depends on how dirty the vehicle is and what size it is, but you can plan on a few hours. If it’s been a long time since your last real wash, or you have heavy bugs, road grime, or a bigger SUV or truck, it might take a bit longer. When you book, we’ll give you a realistic time window, so you’re not guessing when it’ll be ready.

  • 3. Do you have a physical shop location in Houma?

All of our detailing services are performed at our shop. Simply drop your vehicle off, and our team will take care of the rest. When you book, we’ll walk you through timing and what to expect so it’s easy and hassle-free.

  • 4. Will an exterior detail fix scratches or faded paint?

An exterior detail will make your paint look cleaner, glossier, and sharper, but it’s not the same as paint correction. Light wash marks might look lessnoticeable once the surface is properly cleaned and treated, but deeper defects and faded paint usually need polishing or correction work. If you’re worried about scratches or haze, we can take a look and talk about whether paint correction makes sense.

  • 5. How often should I get my car exterior detailed?

For most people, a solid exterior detail every few months keeps the vehicle looking sharp and easier to wash in between. If you drive a lot, park outside, or deal with a ton of bugs and bad weather, you might want it a little more often. We can help you figure out a schedule that fits how you drive and how clean you like to keep your ride.

Four Steps to Prep for Your Interior Detailing Service

  • 1. Grab your personal stuff

Before your appointment, try to pull out personal items like bags, clothes, mail, kids’ toys, tools, and anything you don’t want tossed around. It makes it way easier for us to get to every nook and cranny without guessing what’s important to you. Plus, you’ll know exactly where your things are instead of digging for them later.

  • 2. Toss obvious trash

If you can, do a quick sweep for empty cups, bottles, food wrappers, and random junk in the doors and console. We’ll still clean out what we find, but getting the big stuff out of the way lets us spend more time actually detailing and less time playing cleanup crew. It doesn’t have to be perfect, just a fast once-over.

  • 3. Take out car seats and big accessories

If you use car seats, organizers, or big accessories, it’s a huge help if you remove them before you come in. That lets us get to the seats, cracks, and carpet underneath, which are usually the dirtiest spots. You can pop everything back in once the interior is fresh and clean.

  • 4. Let us know about spills, stains, or smells

If there’s a specific spill, stain, or weird smell that’s been bugging you, tell us when you drop the vehicle off. Coffee, pet accidents, milk, and mystery funk all need a slightly different approach. When we know what happened and where it is, we can target it right away and give you honest expectations on how much it’ll improve.
